I worked with Black Baza Coffee over several years on packaging design and illustrations for their coffee products.

Black Baza is a conservation-led coffee brand that works with indigenous communities and supports biodiversity in the Western Ghats. The packaging illustrations were developed around the idea of the brand’s 'fellows' the many birds, animals and insects that continue to live and visit alongside the coffee farms and make the landscape rich and alive.

Drawing these beings, who share the farms where the coffee grows, became a central part of the visual language of the brand. The illustrations were the ecological story behind the coffee while bringing warmth and character to the packaging.
